Nepal’s first
specialty
coffee shop.

Twenty-six years before specialty coffee became a conversation in this country, we opened a single shop in Kathmandu. We are still that shop. Only now we roast our own beans, train our own baristas, and distribute the equipment the rest of the country brews with.

Crop to cup,
under one roof.

Himalayan Java grows and sources its coffee from Himalayan-altitude farming communities. Our team roasts every bean in-house. From the same roastery we distribute to our own outlets, and to the equipment partners who rely on us for theirs.

We don’t hand off the bean to anyone else. That is the crop-to-cup promise, and it is the reason every cup we serve in Thamel tastes like every cup we serve in Pokhara.

    The trade,
    taught properly.

We run vocational programmes in barista and bakery skills. Each course is built around the standards we hold inside our own shops. Not a syllabus borrowed from somewhere else.
